NORTH West Hills Hurricanes players and supporters are enjoying barbecues at Kanebridge Oval even more following the donation of new equipment thanks to the Sydney Thunder.
Previously, the Hurricanes, the leading cricket team in the Hills, had to borrow the barbecue and now will be able to use it for fundraising and weekend activities.
“Our new barbecue is used to help raise funds for the development of the club’s junior representative and female teams in North West Sydney,” Hurricanes president Phillip Dodd said.
North West Sydney Hurricanes are delighted with their new barbecue.
“Wenty Leagues invested in new first aid kits for each of their teams, as well as placing team coaches into first aid courses.”
“This is to allow their players to participate in a safe environment with up to date equipment and educated coaches.”
“Grants are being used for a variety of projects to help improve each club in areas where they have previously struggle,” Sydney Thunder general manager Nick Cummins said.

“It is really fulfilling to be able to use our position in the community to give back to the local clubs through these grants.
“We are excited to continue this program in years to come.
The Thunder Foundation is the charitable arm of the Sydney Thunder is made up of four causes: Thunder Assist, Thunder Scholarships, Thunder Abroad and Thunder Leadership Program.
The grants are courtesy of HomeWorld whose CEO Phil Jones said: “We are delighted to partner with the Sydney Thunder Foundation to provide much-needed support to the local community”.
